Visit to Kufri Mashobra Naldehra Chail – 2 day trip

Summer vacation is the time to be with family and friends. This summer to beat the scroching heat of plains i planned a short yet memorable trip with my family  to Kufri.

Day 1

The trip was  enthralling as we opt to take helicopter ride from Chandigarh to Shimla (Jubbal Hatti).Pawan Hans helicopter started from Chandigarh at 10:00 am and reached the hills of Shimla at 10:25 am. Click here to Watch video

Reached Kufri Holiday Resort and visited KUFRI NATURE PARK. The park was like a natural abode of wild animals like leopard, bear, deer and various species of nil gaye. A narrow, clean, concrete lane was our guide of the nature park which was surrounded by sky touching Cheed  and Devdar trees. The weather was just favourable; cloudy and cool. We felt like in dense forest amongest the sounds of animals and insects.

Now it was the time for some amusement. We visited Hip Hip Hurray Amusement park. Till the time Queen of Hills was all drenched in pre monsoon shower. We enjoyed it thoroughly and took rides, went to Bhut Bangla, visual illusion and freezed some memorable moments in our cameras .it was a fun filled day.

Day 2

We started the day in the true spirit of a tourist. Hired a taxi which took us to Mashobara first then to Naldera. The first natural Golf Ground of India maintained in 1905 by Britishers. To visit the golf ground we hired horses and covered over 6 to 8 killometre adventurous ride. The guide showed us Tibbet Boarder, the highest peak of Shimla ‘Shilla’, Lovers Point, Beema Kali temple.

After adrenalin generating ride it was time to visit Chail, the place famous for the World’s Highest Cricket Ground. It was well maintained ground now used as a cricket ground for the students of Army School Chail. Visitors and civilians were not allowed to enter into the ground. So we felt the hight and well levelled ground  from outside only.

Next destination on card was not very popular but it was the most surprising and mesmerising place of chail KALI Ka TiBBA Temple. It was the temple of deity  Maa Durga and around 8 kilometer away from Chail. The architecture of the temple reminded  us of Rajasthani architect, the boundary like a fort, white marble all around. The priest told us about the significance and renovation  of the temple. Not many devotees come here. But in my opinion it’s a must visit place of Chail.

With the blessings of Maa Kali we came back to Kufri Resort. And today also it rained like dogs and cats. The weather was cool and all of a sudden heavy hail storm slowed down our speed to reach our resort.
the second day was also not less adventurous than the first one.
